Becoming Her on Purpose: Closing Out the Year With Clarity, Courage, and Grace
Becoming Her on Purpose: Closing Out the Year With Clarity, Courage, and Grace
As this year comes to a close, I’ve taken time to sit with myself quietly, honestly, and prayerfully.
This wasn’t a year of perfection.
It was a year of becoming.
I’ve learned that growth doesn’t always look loud or public. Sometimes growth looks like setting boundaries. Sometimes it looks like rest. Sometimes it looks like choosing yourself without explaining why.
Through every high, every hard moment, every unexpected turn, one truth has remained: God has been present, even when the path felt unclear.
What This Year Taught Me
This year taught me that:
Peace is more valuable than proximity.
Not every invitation requires my attendance.
Healing doesn’t mean forgetting. It means moving forward differently.
Rest is not a reward; it’s a requirement.
Purpose flows best when we stop rushing and start listening.
I’ve learned how to show up with intention instead of obligation.
I’ve learned how to protect my energy without guilt.
And I’ve learned that becoming the woman God is calling me to be requires courage, patience, and faith.
The Heart of P.U.S.H.
P.U.S.H. has always stood for Pray Until Something Happens, but this year it evolved into something even deeper.
P.U.S.H. became about:
Choosing alignment over approval
Building community without burnout
Encouraging women to honor their mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being
Reminding ourselves that we are allowed to grow at our own pace
To every woman who prayed with me, cried with me, showed up, shared space, supported events, or simply whispered “keep going” when I needed it most; thank you. You are a part of this journey.
Looking Ahead: Becoming Her on Purpose
As I step into the new year, my focus is clear.
I’m not chasing busy.
I’m choosing balance.
I’m not shrinking to fit rooms.
I’m standing firmly in who I am.
I’m not becoming by accident.
I am becoming on purpose.
The next season of P.U.S.H. with Janay will be rooted in clarity, consistency, and care for ourselves and for one another. Together, we will continue to grow, heal, and walk boldly into what’s next.
A Word for You
If you’re reading this and you’re tired; rest.
If you’re unsure; pause.
If you’re healing; be gentle with yourself.
If you’re dreaming; keep believing.
Whatever this year brought you, don’t rush past it. Honor it. Learn from it. Release what no longer serves you and carry forward what strengthens you.
Here’s to Becoming Her on Purpose.
With love and intention,
Janay Stevens
