Healing is Hard, But It’s Worth the Work

Healing is Hard, But It’s Worth the Work

Healing is not a straight path. Some days are filled with hope and progress, while others feel heavy with setbacks. It's like riding a roller coaster up one moment, and down the next. Healing is a journey, not a destination. But no matter how hard it feels, you have to face it head-on, knowing that where you are right now is not where you'll always be.

Doing the Work

Healing requires work. And let’s be real it’s the hardest work you will ever do. The courage it takes to confront the things that hurt you the most is immense. But avoiding it won’t bring peace, and staying stuck in the pain will only drag you down. The only way to truly heal is to put in the work. That might look like daily meditation, prayer, or committing to therapy. It could mean leaning on a sister circle, a trusted friend, or a supportive spouse. It’s about building a support system and realizing that healing doesn’t have to be done in isolation.

Grace for Yourself

As you heal, remember to pause and give yourself grace. Healing isn't something you can rush through, and there will be days when it feels overwhelming. That's okay. Troubles don’t last always, and this part of your journey is temporary. You’ll have moments where you feel like yourself again whole, vibrant, and free from the weight of your pain. Those moments will grow more frequent as you continue to put in the work.

Make it Work

Healing only works if you work it. It’s not magic, and it won’t happen by chance. You have to be intentional about the process. Take the time you need to invest in your own well-being. Seek the tools and support that will help you through this season. And trust that, with time and effort, you will feel whole again.

So, if you want healing to work, make it work. Face the pain, do the hard work, and trust that you’ll come out stronger on the other side. The journey is worth it.
